TAKARA BELMONT celebrates its 100th anniversary on October 5, 2021.
We owe this celebration to everyone who has used our products over the years and supported our business, including customers in the hairdressing & beauty industry, and the dental & medical industry. Taking this opportunity, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation.
TAKARA BELMONT started its business 100 years ago as a small foundry with only several employees in the industrial area known as the “Manchester of the East” along the Kizu River in Osaka. In the early Showa period, the company changed its main business line from casting to hairdressing chairs by leveraging its casting technology. This bold change established the foundation for the current business. Moreover, while facing changing times, the company expanded its business under the motto of “Supporting the beauty and health of people” through efforts such as making inroads into the global market and the industries of dental & medical equipment and aesthetics, as well as by developing cosmetics. Today, we have grown into a company that sold products in more than 120 countries around the world.
While our society has become a place where “non-contact” is a must due to the COVID-19 pandemic, “touching” is indispensable in the hairdressing & beauty industry and the dental & medical industry. In this age of great uncertainty, our mission is to ensure the safety and security of these workplaces where touching is required, and to continue to contribute to these industries via tireless efforts and unlimited creativity.
Over the next 100 years, as a Japanese manufacturing company, all the TAKARA BELMONT group companies will join forces and continue to take on the challenge of further contributing to the development of the industries of our customers, squarely address the realization of a sustainable society through our business, and help people everywhere live a fruitful and beautiful life.
